BELLASTORIA PRESS PUBLISHING PROCESS

Step 1: Submission and Evaluation

  • Submit your query by email to: info@bellastoriapress.com. If your proposal fits our mission and our market, we will invite you to submit a synopsis and the first 30 pages of your manuscript.

  • We will confirm receipt by email and let you know within six weeks whether we wish to consider your entire manuscript.

  • After you are invited to submit your full manuscript, your work will then be read by two or three editors (if the first two disagree). Because of the volume of submissions, it may take up to three months for us to properly assess your work.

  • For manuscript submissions, please follow the Bellastoria Press Manuscript Format Requirements.

.

Step 2: Contract and Editing

  • If we find that your submission meets our mission and quality standards, we will send you a contract and an overview of the editorial work that needs to be done on your manuscript.

  • If you agree to partner with Bellastoria, you sign and return the contract and pay the editing fee by credit card or PayPal.

  • You will then be assigned to work directly with one of our skilled developmental or copy editors to address the needs of the manuscript.

Step 3: Final Acceptance

  • After editing is complete, you will be presented with a final edited copy of your book.

  • At this point, you, as the author, have the right to accept the changes, make final copy recommendations, and discuss any changes with which you disagree. Bellastoria reviews your concerns, reads the final manuscript, and makes the final decision on the acceptance of your work for publication and production.

Step 4: Production and Distribution

Only after we accept your final edited manuscript, do you pay for the production and distribution flat fee. That investment defrays our cost for:

  • Proofreading at each stage of the publication process

  • Creating a professional cover for your approval

  • Designing and formatting your book in print and eBook formats, including ePub and Mobi

  • Acquiring and assigning your unique ISBN

  • Registering your copyright with the United States Copyright Office

  • Distributing your print book via Ingram Content Group

  • Distributing your eBook via Amazon KDP, Barnes and Noble Nook, Kobo, Apple, GooglePlay, Scribd, Tolino, 24Symbols, Overdrive, Bilbiotheca, Baker & Taylor, and Hoopla

  • Pulling your sales data from all the sites listed above and providing a comprehensive report by country and outlet

  • Processing and mailing your royalty payment and tax forms as required.
