PADMA BHATT

Illustrator PADMA BHATT was born and raised in Austria, far away from the country her parents originally swept in from. Growing up, she sometimes felt like a hippo among tortoises—but was happy to learn that separate origins and different appearances do not matter in real friendships. In fact, sometimes if you’re very lucky, a close friend can end up being just like family to you. To Padma, Mimi Platzer has been one of those special people, so she was thrilled to create the artwork to accompany her friend’s touching words and help convey a lovely message in the form of a children’s story.
